About Bay Gas

Bay Gas was incorporated in 1997, trading as Warren Plumbing Gas and Heating. After 10years servicing the gas and plumbing industry in the Bay of Plenty a change was introduced in 2007.

Bay Gas is the incarnation of Peter and Leanne Warren's business, running to date effectively for 17 years. And while Peter Warren is still a man of many talents; heating, plumbing and gas, he says the name change signifies a streamlining in his work.
"Slowly, but surely I've begun specialising in gas - installing, repairing and servicing. The name Bay Gas really reflects that."

Peter is a craftsman plumber/gasfitter, and has been for close to 30 years. These days the term to describe his qualifications is a ‘Certifying Gasfitter'. He is also an Approved Practitioner for the gas industry, an Electrical Service Technician and is IPQ registered for backflow prevention. Peter has a keen interest in the industry and is a current member and past president of the Master Plumbers Association in the Bay of Plenty.

Peter works on the tools along side Peter Watson, also a certifying gas fitter with immense skills in mechanical services for the commercial and industrial sector.
Peter Watson, formerly of Burner Services is experienced in diesel burners, oil burners, mechanical engineering and services is an Electrical service technician and has a vast knowledge in all gas fitting and beyond.

Both these gentlemen combined, provide a formidable amount of experience and expertise for the gas and mechanical services industry in domestic, commercial and industrial situations. They are able to design new works or renovations in most situations utilising a strong report developed with suppliers and manufacturers to get the best outcome for you.

Our busy season is winter! We try to encourage our regular customers to complete maintenance and repairs early in the autumn to then allow more time for breakdown services through the main bulk of the heating season. Summer months see us continuing to do repairs, maintenance and installs but is often the time larger contracts are scheduled having extensive planning and organisation injected into the project over the preceding months. We generally close over the festive season but will continue to be available for call-outs for existing customers.

Our philosophy is that keeping systems safe and efficient means they are less likely to break down. Our customers very rarely go without hot water. We provide a call-out service for existing customers or those without hot water. We supply loan hot water units to re-establish supply while repair are sought.
